Wayne County officials gave a boost to Detroit's youth talent program on Thursday with a $700,000 donation. On Monday, Mayor Mike Duggan announced that Detroit will receive a total of $500,000 in grants from the city's Motor City Match program. This includes $100,500 for a new high-tech manufacturing facility in Detroit and $50,300 for a plant for automotive suppliers. It is a large new plant for automotive suppliers that, according to official figures, could create up to 750 new jobs in the city.
