Jamieson Elementary School Reviews

My first child started at Jamieson in 1992 and I have had a niece or a nephew in the school each year since. I am an active parent volunteer and have been for the last 5 years. The overall quality of the school is declining rapidly, so much so, that (I have 2 children in the school, 1 to go) I am online looking for an alternative school.

My child has been a student at Jamieson Elmentary for the past 4 years. I feel that the overall climate of the school is cheerful and very goal oriented. I have seen several staff members go above and beyond their 'duties' to assist students, both in and outside of the classroom. When my child was identified as having a learning disability, every effort was made to accomadate her. There are a number of activities that are available to her, outside of the classroom. While her gross motor skills don't allow her to play , she enjoys the basketball games as well as the school cheerleaders. Her teachers have done a great job of keeping me posted on her progress. It allows me to get her extra help in needed areas. I have been very pleased with this school.

As a teacher of 8 years at Jamieson I know that educating children is 'What we do'. We are a Comer School which means that we operate under the giding priciples of cooperation , collaboration and no fault. we take pride in knowing that we can and do make a positive difference in the lives of our students their families and the community . We also provide a safe child centered environment with didicated teachers and supporting staff.
