University Preparatory Academy Reviews

They need to add more classes in the High school. Kids need Spanish, History they need more than just 2 classes.

I actually go to this school along with my cousin, but this is actually a pretty good school with great students like my self that attend this excellent thompson foundation academy I really recommend detroit children to do their best and come and sign up for the school so that they can get the education that is needed for young african americans. Thank you and I hope you make it!

This is a very well brought up school and I think that your students who graduate from this school will do excellent in college and will do excellent when they actually find their career.

I think that it is a good school, for the student who needs to be challenged as well as the student who need a little extra push in certain areas. I have two children who attend the school. and 8th graded and 11th grader. C Micou

My child is in UPHigh School. My biggest problem is there are no books being used in Math and Science. These are not enough individual classes. Even though they get mich from their advisory class sessions, it is not enough for high school. A child needs to be able to take a book home and read in class especially math. Children have different learning styles everyone do not learn or comprehend fron someone talking and giving examples on the board for math and science. This must stop. The programs such as LTI is a good concept.

I think that UPA is an excellent school that really focuses on the individual child because there are only 16 kids to a class. I like that the report cards aren't standard report cards with grades, but a real report of exactly what your child is doing and what they are excelling in or need help in. The LTI (Learning Through Internships) program is great and it gives kids a real insight into the world of work.

I think that this school is the best for children that wants a challenge. I have a son who is in the sixth grade and a daughter that is in the eighth grade, and they love the challenge that the school gives them and the After School Programs that helps them with studies outside of school.'

I think this school is outstanding in everyway possible. I have a sixth grade daughter that goes there and she loves it.
