Dearborn Academy Reviews

I have been a teacher at TDA for 3 years. The teachers here are very hardworking and work well as a team. Students continue to strive and improve upon their academic and social skills - as indicated in our AYP, IOWA tests, MEAP scores and edperformance tests. Keep working hard students and staff!

My son goes to kindergarten @ T.D.A and I have to say it needs a makeover! The bathrooms look dirty and there are no great things going on, where is the auditorium? The kids have no special place to perform, I just think they need to remodel but over all my son is doing well as a special needs student.

I have never had a problem with this school the 3 years that my son attended.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this Charter school. The students were unruly, the administration was unorganized and unreachable. The teachers were not supported by the administration or the parents. There wasn't any teamwork. I pulled my son after the first quarter. If you are considering either Dearborn Academy or West Village Academy, do NOT.

This school should not exist. The administration is unsupportive and often times unavailable to deal with student and teacher issues. It is quite an awful institution and working there was the worst work experience I have ever had.

The school is improving every year. It still has a long way to go, and it needs to lower the teacher turnover rate. The school has gym and an art program, but the art teacher comes into the classroom. It also has on staff psychologist as well as social worker.

we need fun stuff everyday something new happens then it would be more funer for the school!

I did not like the school. I think that the school is unorganized and needs many things such as a libary, gym, art room, music room and most importanly a play ground for the children.
