Hey, buckaroos! Pack a picnic, bring a blanket and come to Madcap Puppets’ free performance on July 14 at the Southfield Library: the zany puppet performance, Target Dinner Theater: Annie Oakley’s Wild West Show.
The Cincinnati-based Madcap Productions Puppet Theatre unleashes amazing stunts, tall tales and funny adventures in its performances, which use life-sized puppets and zingy dialog. Young and old alike will enjoy a definitely unique take on the stories of Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m., and the program begins at 7 p.m. in the meeting room of the Southfield Library. This program is part of the Make a Splash Read! summer library program, a reading enrichment program for children who live or attend school in Southfield or Lathrup Village and are entering preschool through fifth grade. Each child will receive a record to keep track of their independent reading. When they complete their reading record they will be invited to a final party at summer’s end. Registration continues through July 12.
