    • Detroit RiverFront Conservancy is non-profit, developing public access to 5-1/2 miles of Detroit Riverfront, from bridge to Gabriel Richard Park

The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, Inc. was formed as a 501 (c) (3) with the mission of developing access on the Detroit International Riverfront. The entire vision is 5 1/2 miles of Riverfront property, from the Ambassador Bridge to Gabriel Richard Park, just west of the Belle Isle Bridge, and will include a continuous RiverWalk along with parks, plazas and green spaces.

Once completed, the Conservancy is responsible for the improvement, operations, maintenance and programming of the Detroit International Riverfront in perpetuity.

The vision of Detroit's transformed Riverfront is clearly becoming reality. However, support is still needed to complete the project and to deliver the world class Riverfront that Detroit has always deserved. The Conservancy is underway with a $140 million capital campaign, which will provide the necessary funding to design and build a new public space, as well as permanently maintain, operate and program the Riverfront for the public.

Capital campaign contributions are also welcome at any amount - via credit card or check. To donate via credit card, please enter the amount you are interested in giving in the space provided\n\nThe Detroit International Riverfront is a planned 5 1/2 miles of public waterfront, linked by a continuous RiverWalk and parks, plazas and green spaces. As of June 2007, more than 2 1/2 of East Riverfront is open to the public, including:

*1 1/2 miles of RiverWalk from Joe Louis Arena to Rivard Street
*1 1/4 miles of RiverWalk from Stroh's River Place at Joseph Campau Street to Mt. Elliot Park, as well as RiverWalk at Gabriel Richard Park
*Rivard Plaza and Pavilion, located at Rivard Street
*Gabriel Richard Park Plaza and Pavilion

More than 75 percent of the East Riverfronts complete and open to the public, including more than 2 1/2 miles of RiverWalk and two of the four planned plazas and pavilions.

    This includes:

*1 1/2 miles of RiverWalk from Joe Louis Arena to Rivard Street
*1 1/4 miles of RiverWalk from Stroh's River Place at Joseph Campau Street to Mt. Elliot Park, as well as RiverWalk at Gabriel Richard Park
*Rivard Plaza and Pavilion, located at Rivard Street
*Gabriel Richard Park Plaza and Pavilion

The Conservancy continues work to complete the East Riverfront, including fulfilling their East Riverfront capital campaign, which is providing the funding for building and permanently operating, maintaining and programming the Detroit International Riverfront.
