Artist Bio
James Jensen woke up one day in 1995 and announced to his wife that he was going to learn how to oil paint. He then spent the next 12 years studying the techniques of the masters both present and past. Through trial and error and many tubes of pigment, he has developed a unique style of the ancient art of the miniature oil painting. James is a current member of the World Federation of Miniaturists (an international artist organization based in Australia).
He teaches classes in Oil Still Life Miniatures on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at Michaels in Ann Arbor.
