Every year me and the family go in our boat, that way theres no lines, crowds, and your bathroom, food, and sleep is all there with you, if you do that get there as early as you can, because usually around 7 it starts getting filled, and with 100' of anchor line out you can drift right into another boat if your not carfull. so get there about 3 or 4 and its uasually fine. also try to keep you distance from the southern tip of belle isle cause 1: it can be noisy because of all the people, and 2: if you get to close to it the sea bed is really bad for anchoring.
Pros: Good view, fun
Cons: bad sea bed

THe fireworks are great to witness but if you do not like crowds I suggest you watch them from the T.V. or get a hotel room at one of the surronding hotels.

The lines for the bathrooms were horrible. People were rude and pushy, You need a number 12 on your list so you can put the fireworks there. I think it is would be simpler to climb on my roof and watch themfrom there.
